Controls Institute Redesign

The Controls Institute approached me to redesign their website. When I first looked at controlsinstitute.org I could see why. The navigation on the left is unnecessary since it has some of the navigation items from the top navigation. Going through the site I noticed a lot of wasted space and the use of 3 columns on all the pages limiting the amount space that can be used for the design.

I simplified the site with one navigation and a hover effect that lets the user know what page they are currently on.

I also put all of the conference information on a single page but left the conference sponsors on the bottom of the non ECCM pages to make other companies jealous.

The redesign brightened up the site, made the information easier to access and a lot more logical plus the client was very happy.
